Nutri-Forage
Product Description

Nutri-Forage is a mixture of pellets (30%) and grains. This nutritious treat is designed to provide dietary enrichment by encouraging the bird to work for and play with its food.
Recommended Use
Nutri-Forage is a nutritious treat that provides enrichment by encouraging foraging. Nutri-Forage is heated until soft and warm, then packed into pasta or any fun, safe item to stimulate normal foraging behavior.
Foraging is the act of searching for and finding food. Many wild birds spend more than 50% of their day foraging and feeding, and this behavior is believed to have social and behavioral importance. Foraging significantly improves the mental well being of captive avian species, and foraging may also help to manage feather destructive behavior and other abnormal, repetitive behaviors in psittacines (see references 1-5 below).

Nutri-Forage is nutritionally balanced with:
- Balanced omega 3/6 polyunsaturated fatty acids
- Stabilized vitamins and chelated minerals for excellent absorption

Feeding Directions
- Preheat an oven or toaster oven to 350ºF (275ºF). Microwaving is not recommended as even heating allows for best filling and there is also danger of hotspots.
- Gather several clean food items or clean, edible paper or wood items to fill.
- Place one-quarter bar of the Nutri-Forage filler on a cool baking sheet.
- Bake for 2-2.5 minutes. Food should be soft and warm, but not too hot.

- Allow food to cool completely before touching with your fingers and giving to your bird.
- Store extra treats in a re-sealable bag to maintain freshness.
