Welcome!
Avian medicine is a skillful combination of science and art. We designed this web site as a practical tool for avian practitioners. Many outstanding veterinarians contributed ideas and information to create this web site, launching us to a strong start.
We invite interested veterinarians to suggest ideas and information to help this web site serve the needs of the avian practitioner. We welcome your ideas and comments and invite you to explore LafeberVet.com
Best regards,

Clinical Tip

The appearance of the uropygial or preen gland varies widely among avian species, however the gland should always appear smooth and symmetrical. See Physical examination of the avian patient for more exam tips.
